12:21 AM. Busy Monday morning. I mean Sunday night. Meaning I need to dig a little bit deeper to put in the work to get the job done.
Nobody likes being uncomfortable but facing fear seems necessary to become great in any endeavor. I intend to inspire other people through what I do blogging-wise. Showing you what seems impossible but really what is possible, probable, then, a certainty, is what I do because I learned this from inspired folks. But I dig deeper to find the extra gear tonight because I want to help you. My intent is to inspire you no matter what you go through now. Life may feel daunting. Maybe things seem hopeless. Dig deeper! Go a little beyond your comfort zone. Do not work hard. Work generously, intelligently and persistently, and get uncomfortable. Life gets easier if you work with inspiration in your mind.
One person who inspired me to stay up late to get the job done is the late, great, basketball legend, Kobe Bryant. He passed away today in a helicopter crash with his 13-year-old daughter. I feel sad and shed tears because I am a hoops fan, I feel for his family and also gained inspiration from the man during my entrepreneurial rough spots, calling on his drive, passion, focus, mindset, and brilliant work ethic to see the journey through. During my world travels, beginning in 2011, I saw Kobe Bryant jerseys all over the globe, even more than Michael Jordan and Lebron James. Kobe became a global celebrity because of his passion and absolute love for the game of basketball. I saw kids wearing his jersey in Bali, India, Nepal, Thailand….everywhere! He became one of the best basketball players of all time not just by focusing on himself. He worked like a beast to inspire others too, to show what could be possible. I learned that lesson from him and take it with me tonight. Digging deep is part of the equation though.
Dig deep. Face your fears. Feel your racing mind run roughshod, making you believe you go mad. Face obstacles. Believe in yourself. Keep helping people. I believe in you. I know you can succeed and will succeed. Believe in yourself. Dig deeper to face, feel and release self-doubt, laziness and other feelings crippling your blogging campaign. Think about others. No one ever knows who they impact and how they impact people.
I recently wrote this post:
not to brag, boast or show off by putting attention on myself. I wrote the post to inspire you to become a prolific guest blogger. I had to dig deep to reach that 1000 number by facing fear, leaving my comfort zone and by being pulled through drowsy feelings, neck pain, back pain, and general hopelessness, sometimes. Nobody succeeds inside of their comfort zone. Bloggers and heck, any entrepreneur, succeed by leaving their comfort zone routinely. Dig deeper, then dig deeper. You can do it. Expect a bumpy journey sometimes but know that by intending to inspire other people, you find the energy to dig deeper, to wade through discomfort and to be a bright blogging beacon for all bloggers out there.
